Princess Stephanie has a keen interest in cultural activities and was recently appointed president of the board for Luxembourg modern art museum MUDAM, succeeding Jacques Santer.

In addition, she is patron of the Luxembourg Centre for Biomedicine Systems, the Scienteens Lab and is a member of the board of the Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse.

Stéphanie Marie Claudine Christine de Lannoy was born as the eighth child of Count Philippe de Lannoy and his wife Countess Alix della Faille de Leverghem, on February 18, 1984.

A Belgian noble, she studied German language and literature and is an accomplished pianist and violin player.

Her role became considerably more public when she met and married Luxembourg Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume. The pair married in what was a fairy tale wedding in Luxembourg October 20, 2012.
